October Hits Hard

October Hits Hard

October will be remembered as a turning point for Southwest Florida. On October 3rd, Hurricane Milton made landfall, leaving a path of destruction that shook our community to its core. The storm tore through neighborhoods, leaving behind flooded homes, shattered roofs, and damaged pools. But in the wake of devastation, resilience always finds a way to shine.

At Conquest Builders, we knew we had to act fast. Within days of the storm, we expanded our services to include full-scale remodeling for affected areas. It wasn’t just about repairs—it was about helping our community recover, rebuild, and reclaim their homes. We immediately began working with customers to generate Exactimate quotes—an industry-standard tool for creating accurate repair estimates. Too often, insurance companies provide initial quotes that fall short of actual repair costs. By helping homeowners with these detailed quotes, we ensured they had a fair chance to receive what they deserved to restore their homes properly.

Throughout the month, our team worked tirelessly, spending countless hours assessing flood damage, repairing roofs, quoting pool restoration projects, and addressing the many other challenges brought by Milton’s wrath. The damage was heartbreaking—so many dreams disrupted, so many lives turned upside down. Yet, even in the midst of this adversity, we found hope.

We’re not just repairing homes; we’re rebuilding better futures. It’s our mission to make our customers’ homes even better than before. Every time we meet with a homeowner, we see their determination to move forward, and it fuels our own optimism. This month, we’ve been fully booked with projects, and we’re seeing even more of our quotes being accepted as families begin receiving their insurance payouts.

There’s a long road ahead, but as October comes to a close, we’re reminded of the strength of this community. The winds may have battered us, but they didn’t break us. We’re committed to standing with our neighbors every step of the way, providing the craftsmanship and care they need to rebuild not just their homes, but their lives.

To everyone we’ve worked with this month: thank you for trusting us during one of the hardest times of your lives. We don’t take that lightly. And to those we haven’t yet had the chance to help: we’re here when you’re ready. Together, we’ll weather the storm and come out stronger on the other side.
